A stolen Camaro receives an unexpected paint job and new security equipment
TOPEKA (WIBW)-- We have another update on that stolen Camaro we told you about Monday.
Ernie Miller told us how it was stolen, then found with a new paint job.
Their adventures continued Friday night, with a new alarm and stereo, courtesy of Autosound!
Ernie's '85 ride was stolen from his driveway last week, Topeka Police told him it was involved in a chase Saturday, and ditched a dozen blocks from his home.
Autosound Manager Scott Williams saw Ernie's story on 13 NEWS, and decided to help.
"Everyone's got a car that got away that they wish they could keep or has some sort of sentimental value to them," Williams said. "It's cool that WIBW could help to get this car back."
"I am really excited! It's just so overwhelming that people want to help this much," Miller said. "they even cared enough to call it in. It's really incredible, I don't know what to say than it's awesome."
TPD is still looking for the car thieves.
